What it Meant for AntrumX to Win at the AHR Expo

The AHR Expo provides a unique forum where manufacturers of all sizes and specialties come together to share ideas and showcase the future of HVACR technology. Since 1930, the AHR Expo has remained the industry’s best place for OEMs, engineers, contractors, technicians, facility operators, architects, educators and other industry professionals to explore the latest trends and applications and to cultivate mutually beneficial business relationships. The event is co-sponsored by ASHRAE and AHRI, endorsed by many industry leading organizations, and is held concurrently with ASHRAE’s Winter Conference.”

The AHR Expo Innovation Awards is an annual competition that honors the most inventive and original products, systems and technologies showcased at each year’s AHR Expo. Products go head-to-head in the following categories: building automation; cooling; heating; indoor air quality; plumbing; refrigeration; software; sustainable solutions (was green building); tools & instruments; and ventilation. Winners are selected by a panel of third-party ASHRAE member judges who evaluate all award entries based on innovative design, creativity, application, value and market impact.

Winning the Innovation Award provided a ton of momentum for us as an organization. We know our technology is unique, innovative, and disruptive, but to be recognized, first with the award, and then at the show with a booth full of interested parties was extremely humbling. As the only centralized sensing technology that captures air samples using NO moving parts, there was a lot of interest in seeing the technology. We had a demonstration in our booth that allowed us to explain in more detail how our technology works, while also showing functionality by live streaming IAQ data.

As saving energy while managing IAQ continues to become an industry focus (on its way to being recognized as a best practice), we will continue to push the envelope regarding the parameters we can monitor.

One of our goals is to change the way the indoor environment is measured, and we will be taking a big step forward by the end of this year with the ability to monitor more than twice the parameters we’re currently monitoring. This level of IAQ transparency will provide building owners and operators the data they need to better Know Their Air.

We’re thankful for the AHR Expo and the spotlight it shone on Antrum as we continue to promote healthy outcomes inside the buildings we monitor.
